Greetings, Key "@_AUTOCLOSE" is a feature used when an "external program" is used to connect to the application - for instance connecting to McKesson's HBOWem.
This says "close" the external program when whatever it is connected to goes away. For some specific situations this is not what you want actually, hence the feature to control this behavior. This is not the case with Meditech. Since a BWS script needs to launch Meditech in order to connect - there is no need for Key "@_AUTOCLOSE" in a Meditech script, since when Meditech goes away, so does the "thing" that is talking to it. Shutdown=True says I am going to close Boston WorkStation - completely unrelated to Key "@_AUTOCLOSE". By the way, incase you were wondering why @_AUTOCLOSE is sent via a key command. What this is actually doing is sending an instruction over the connection, a configuration mechanism if you will. There are actually many such configurations - most are quite esoteric and specific to certain types of connections. A search in the help for @_ Commands will give you a listing of all of them and what they do in case I've peaked your curiosity. Regards, Thom Thom C. This will close BWS, but not always the HBOWem Server Connection Streamer Thingy (at least that is what I like to call it) in the bottom right hand corner (Little Black B). Is there something I can code that will always shut this down as well? Thanks, Reese Reese E.
