Generator Microsoft Word 11 (filtered) Actually the file comes to me that way
and I' ve been asked to script parts of it into Meditech.

The D.FileReplace "C:\Your file.rap", "~", vbCrLf didn' t quite give me what I
wanted but replacing the vbCrLf with just vbCr did the trick.
Thanks for your help Thom!

Thanks!
Paul

Greetings,
I am guessing you set up the delimiter to be *.

Try this for your file replace command:
D.FileReplace "C:\Your file.rap", "~", vbCrLf
Regards,
Thom

[Talk] Datastation problem

I have a file that ends with an extension of " .rap" . The information is
delimited with a " *" and the end of line is designated by a " ~"
When I open the file as delimited, all of the lines are seen as one record by
the Datastation. How do I get the Datastation to recongnize the " ~" as the
end of a record?

I found a post on the TALK archives from 2005 that points to using the "
D.FileReplace filename, vbCr, vbCrLf" command, but I' m not able to get that
to work. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Paul
