Seems suitable (email) but you broke the #77 rule of email, don't start 4+ lines with capital I's, it looks like you were indenting for a reply to those lines :)
I looked a bit a music+linux a while back, didn't work out so well, I had a Mac collecting dust so ...... I would just recommend google like crazy to get the most up-to-date lay of the land.
