It is not possible to get a listing using the W3C DOM methods.  You
will have to use a custom event manager if you want to be able to get
an array of references of the function objects.

Urg.  I figured as much but was hoping I was wrong :(

FWIW, there was a principal stated in E.F. Codd's very first paper on his proposed relational theory that a system should allow, by inquiry, the ability to determine its complete state. I guess we don't get that w/Javascript.
