Hi Lou, I'm a little confused about what's wrong with Narrator during Windows 7 installation. I've used it to complete Windows 7 installation, and, once complete, you can just install Window-Eyes. You just wait a good chunk of time to ensure that you've arrived at the user account setup screen, and then use Windows-U and Alt-N to fire up Narrator. I recommend 45 minutes from the time you start the install until the user account screen arrives.

I've been wanting to do a destructive recovery of my HD, but I'm balking because I don't know if after the reformat, Win-7 setup is accessible with tab controls. I am also curious as to whether Window-Eyes Mobile will run during Win 7 setup. I know I can't install WEVideo during setup--which is too bad--but even a Window-Eyes with limited functionality has got to be better than Narrator. If you or anyone else can put my questions to rest, I'd be grateful. If you do, do you have an windows 7 CD? If so, do you have the product key? This may not be needed if you are installing on a recent dell machine, because the key is in the bios. Drop me a note if I can help further.
