Hi Bill, You didn't say which Windows you're using, and which synthesizer/braille options you are using?
Also, what are you using for anti-malware. Just to give you something for comparison, I work for a government agency in their IT shop. We have around 300 or so people, and we have a couple of guys assigned to handling various hardware/software emergencies, and even with no screen readers, and with IE 11 and Macaffee corporate edition, we still have a couple of people a week who have their systems begin to have lots of inexplicable crashes, and when these guys run their suite of various anti-malware tools, they often find an infection. I forgot to mention we also have a corporate firewall and a hardware device for filtering out malware before it even hits our lan. My point is you could easily have a malware infection, and it almost takes running several different tools they tell me, before you can reasonably be sure you are not infected. I am bringing this up because many of us are using Outlook (various versions), and WE 9.2 and Windows 7 or later, and we're doing so fairly successfully. If you're using xp then all bets are off though. Lastly, I'd run the Windows update and make sure it's also updating Office products as well, and bring everything up to date. Eventually and invariably, when I open a number of Outlook messages, at some point I will start getting a notifications beep, then the Outlook Enhance app stops working and messages are no longer virtualized. The only way to fix things is to exit Outlook and then return. Any suggestions appreciated.
