Hi Tom: Is that a part of where a IP host does security checks like ping
backs to ensure the sender has an actual active e-mail address and bounces a
copy back to the sending server if the ping back fails?
A friend told me about this but he didn't have a name for it and I didn't
know if this was the case but it is sounding more and more like he may have
been correct.
If a message is, cocpy of it, bounced back to the AI2 Mailman then Mailman,
if setup incorrectly, will count the number of bounces and when some
threshold is reached remove the client like me or anyone from the AI2 Talk
list.
Does this sound like the security package you are talking about?

This sounds like a DMARC (Domain-based Message
Authentication, Reporting and Conformance) issue. Newer
versions of Mailman can be configured to take care of the
problem.
