I hope, we don't get a discussion about mailinglists on the talk-list. But freelist is not really a good idea. All the messages, the whole archive, is also visible for google and other search engines.
And freelist can also unsubscribe people... Last time, more and more lists are moved to groups.io. Groups.io is a more accessible site to setup your list and to manage. Better than yahoogroups or freelists. I have used them too as a list owner and groups.io is better.
