When you check for new updates, you will see the update again unless you have hidden it.

While we're on the discussion of that pesky get windows 10 installer thing,
just for the heck of it, after I uninstalled the KB35583 update, I did a
check for updates, and in the results, I found two links.
One link was labeled (one important update), and the other was labeled (16
optional updates). I'm wondering what would happen if I were to press enter
on either of these? Have any of you ever scene these two links when you've
done a check for updates after removeing the get windows 10 stuff?

go to windows update and uninstall this update. then reboot.
KB3035583
then after you reboot then start checking windows update for this update and

open a context menu on it and hide it.
so far this has not come back. all references to windows 10 is gone in the
windows update screen.

The same thing happens here. I just do an alt-f4 and it shuts up for a
while. I am going to call Microsoft and ask them to do a clean install
because when mine upgrades by itself, it really really seems corrupted. I
think I'm going to go to Windows 10 sooner or later so maybe I just need to
upgrade and be done with it. I am not sure how to tell you to remove the
whole possibility!

Subject: Persistant Windows 10 offer

I have started getting a message to upgrade to Windows 10, which I do not
intend to do. There's nothing in it to say "don't ask me anymore." Even
after closing it, it pops up again and again. It also seems to make the
computer unrsponsive when the Win 10 message is open.

Any suggestions as to how to get rid of this annoyance?

Thanks!
Marilyn
