Barbara,
I tried what Rod suggested but found that once I focused the Date edit box, I
could not change the value, it just was stuck at today's date. Visually, there
is a calendar graphic nested inside the edit box. This graphic when clicked
opens up a calendar date picker widget. And this particular calendar date
picker widget is completely mouse driven. The only way I was able to enter a
new date was to navigate to the calendar graphic in Browse Mode, route the
mouse to it, left click. After these steps were completed, the date picker was
displayed on the screen. I have found that in most cases that even though the
date picker visually appears right by the date edit box, programmatically it is
actually positioned at the very bottom of the webpage. This makes the calendar
date picker very hard to locate after it is displayed. One trick I have found
is that these calendar date pickers are usually marked up as a table. So, with
Browse Mode on, I pressed T and found a table with 9 rows
and 7 columns. If you navigate the table you will find numbers representing
the days in the current month. If you find the date you want, route the mouse
and left click. This will close the date picker and enter the date into the
edit box. More effort would be required to select a date in a future month.
This was accomplished using IE 11 under Windows 10 with Window-Eyes 9.3.1. Now,
wasn't that easy. <sarcastic grin> Please take a few minutes to send an email
to the owners of this website to report this accessibility problem. A very
simple way to help them understand the problem is to tell them to unplug their
mouse/disable their touch pad and try to select a new date using the keyboard.
This should help them better appreciate how this accessibility barrier
negatively impacts many users especially those that rely on the keyboard for
computer interaction. If they would like further guidance regarding web
accessibility, feel free to refer them to me and I would be happy to spe
 ak with them.
Kind Regards,
Marc

Hi Barbara,

Immediately after the combo boxes where you select the hour, minute, and
A.M. and P.M., you can down arrow to the word "date."
If you go out of browse mode on that word "date", this is actually an edit
box where you can enter the date in the format mm-dd-yyyy.

Happy holidays,

Rod

Hello Everyone,

Below is a link to a trip planner for my local transit company. I can enter
all the requested data except for the date/calendar. Any ideas how to enter
the date?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Happy Holidays!
