I don't know if this happens on the first reboot or not, but I started Narrator too soon. It came up talking but there weren't any other windows that one could ALT-TAB to except for Narrator and also the window that lets you press any key to see what it does. I closed Narrator and let the upgrade go on its way and no dammage seemed to be done. It seems to me that it would have been simple for Microsoft to include a sound when the upgrade was complete, though. Since one can bring up Narrator, the sound drivers are obviously functioning.

Windows-Enter will enable/disable Narrator, and you can use CPS+Left and CAPS+Right to review the contents of each screen.
