This computer was set up only last Friday. Someof the set files say
modified. None of them say out dated.

so you also have a fresh copy of wineyes too?
then i would definitly check for outdated factory set files and look to see
that the wlm app is running or re install it.

No, I'm not using the preview pane. I'm using the same settings when I was
using WLm on my old windows 7 computer. Those settings all worked for the
last few years. All of this started on this new computer.

again, are you useing the preview pane?
if so this uses browse mode. if browse mode is off you won't be able to edit
your messages.

It looks like it might be a WLM issue itself. With the latest version of
NVDA, I can't use the arrow keys or backspace and have it speak.

No, I haven't tried reinstalling the wlm app. I can't understand why it
works only one time and I have to restart WE to reply to more than one

have you tried re installing the wlm app? maybe the set files it uses are
damaged
there have been times when a re install of apps or set files fixed the
problems
i have had. even though there were no errors while useing the programs.

ON the main screen, the wlm set file is associated with the program.

The only way I can reply to more than one message, I have to exit wlm, and

do you have the wlm app installed? this has the wlm set files included too.

Here’s the problem I now have with windows live mail on this new computer.
When replying to my first message after starting we, it works as it should.
Here is where the problem starts. When I go to reply to my second message,

can’t use the arrow keys to review what I typed. The back space won’t speak
when I back space. When I check to see what set file is loaded, It’s
wineyes.set.
On the first message, It’s WindowsLiveMail.set.
