This is a chance-playing, but you may want to try the following approach, which I have done similarly in other cases. If you look up your receipt, or if you happen to know exactly where to find the keyboard on the webshop's homepage, go ahead an look up the actual webpage. That is, bring up the very page of the keyboard.

Make a copy of the contents in the Address Bar, and email it to some of your sighted friends or family. In the email, describe the actual key location, and ask if they could please look at the picture of the advertisement. Depending on the picture quality, their capability in upscaling the picture, and their understanding your description of the key location - you may have luck in having them to tell you not just this one key, but also other details you may wonder about your new product. Again, it all depends on the quality of the picture on the web, but why not give it a try?

If you cannot get a good web-picture of the product, here is a slightly different approach to follow. Do you have a cellphone, or a digital camera? Even a Web-camera on your PC? Are you familiar with how to make a picture? Try making your own picture of the keyboard. It might turn out more detailed and easily interpretted than the one from the netshop. Mail it to your sighted friends or family, and do as suggested above.

Like I said, I have tried this kind of approach in a couple of cases before, and in general it works pretty well. The good thing about the last approach, is of course that you can make sure it is the very actual product you are picturing, and should it all fail on the first attempt, the job in resending a new picture of the product is not too much of a go. Yet, it does require you having the equipment and confidence in taking the picture.

Well, just a tiny suggestion. BTW, why not try the self-taking picture approach, whenever you are in doubt about the key-layout on your laundry machine, new microwave, or you wonder if you had luck in cleaning the spot off from your pants? Talk to some of your friends or family that you trust, and who you know will provide you reliable information.

You know, recently I was about to buy a couple of things, from a second-hand webpage over here. I wondered two things - the actual design, and the condition - as well as the color of the products in question. I do have a couple of people in my circle, that I rely on - when comes to picture reading. So I emailed them the actual links of the two products, and ended up determining that the couch was OK for buying, but please leave the carpet alone as it does not fit in with your stuff. All based on the explanation I got back from my picture-reading person. Surely that saved me money, as well as a bad experience. Smile. So go ahead and use this approach, even in everyday activities. Just for your advice.

call them with the model number of the keyboard and they can tell you what that key is if you describe its location on the key board.

You could try calling the company you bought the PC from.

Outside of having a sighted person look at the keyboard, is there a way of

It might be a function (FN) key. You see this key showing up on more
keyboards these days.

The windows key that you are talking about not doing anything, probally
isn't a windows key. There are so many different configurations of

sure the keyboard you choose has the keys present that you need with

Speaking of Asus computers, I just bought a Asus desktop computer and
found
the following:

on my old computer, on the right side of the spacebar, I had the ald key,
the windows key, the applications key and control key. On this new
desktop,
the Windows key doesn't do anything? Anyone have any idea why this is?
The
Windows key on the left side of the Spacebar does work.

Hi Jo and All,

I also have an Asus laptop. I was very surprised to discover the lack of
the
keys you mention. I have set my caps lock key to act as the insert key.
The
page-up, page-down, and other functions have to be performed using the
function key combined with the control and shift keys. When I have to do a lot of typing, I use an external keyboard. When I bought the computer, I didn't even thhink to ask whether these keys were present; I just assumed.
Silly me!

Hope this helps,

Jan

I have an Asus PC and believe it or not, I cannot find the insert page up our page down keys Ashley, this is a Zen book so I'm sure the keyboard is limited. What do you all use and what is your experience with a Bluetooth keyboard? Sorry, should be actually. I have windows 10 on the computer and
Microsoft support removed my version of window eyes when they were
reinstalling office 2016 for me. I would like to use Microsoft outlook
but
no one seems to be able to get Outlook to work with my other Microsoft
office programs, especially Microsoft word. I feel very stuck and have
wanted to figure this out on my own and now I'm in way over my head. Any help please I did ask for a link from the support staff but apparently it did not come through. Spyware is web root which Best Buy installed for me. It might be blocking The installation of other software. I can tell it's
going to be a long day
