Hi Jed. I am sad to say that most of the geek and focus for audio production is firmly planted in JAWS land at this time. I know this, because I am a studio engineer/musician, and I do audio production work with products like CakeTalking, JAWS, and Sonar from Dancing dots. Unfortunately, for us Window-Eyes users, finding a multitrack audio editor that works with it has been virtually impossible, even though Window-Eyes does have the power to script access for applications such as Sonar, etc. The problem with modifying the CakeTalking scripts to make Window-Eyes work with it is it would take a lot of time to migrate the scripts and I don't think that the developer is going to mygrate them to work with Window-Eyes anytime soon. Yes, we have basic access for Sonar that works with Window-Eyes, via its registry hack that CakeWalk invented way back when, but there are some limitations. For example, there is no shortcut keys to do things like arm a track, check the track status, etc. You also have to arro around the track columns to get where you want to go. The real power of Sonar and CakeTalking, in my opinion, is the plugins that come with Sonar, such as the Sonitess effects, etc and these aren't accessible to Window-Eyes users and these are the power that you can get from CakeTalking. Shortcuts, checking status's, and using plugins. CakeTalking also has a tutorial written for it that is very descriptive and its all keyboard driven and its an excilent tutorial written for it.

What are people using for a true multi-track editer? Is goldwave pretty much the verdict? I would like some input on what is compatable with window-eyes.
