I haven't used Adobe Acrobat in a long time. But there used to be a
setting under preferences to open documents in your browser instead of
the reader. The idea was that most folks were clicking on PDF links in
their browser anyway and the browser would use the Acrobat engine to
display the document. But I think Edge has built-in support for PDF
files. So you may also want to open the Control panel, Default programs,
and make sure that PDF files are associated with Acrobat.
