Hi:

If the laptop features the Creators’ update, you use Control-Windows Enter to
turn on narrator. If the laptop uses the Aniversary edition, simply press
Windows Enter.

During setup, the Creators edition will actually begin speaking using Cortana
when you turn on the laptop for the first time. In the anniversary edition,
you won’t hear anything.

Hope this helps.

By the way, am getting a new laptop with Windows 10. What's the key
combination to start up Narrator? Thanks in advance.--Matthew Chao
