Rod, Did you use the procedure to update JAWS or did you just run the latest installation file? I tend to run the latest installation file because I can download it once and run it on multiple computers without the need to have each computer download the update. When I do that, I loose the hot key every time. I am not certain if this happens when I follow the update prompt or not. Running the latest installation file seems to have some ability to look at what was installed because I don't have to authorize the version again, but I loose the hot key.
