Thank you. I will check this out. It seems to me that I did try the
escape key on one of attempts, but I will try that again the next time
it happens. If I leave it alone long enough, it will probably put
itself to sleep. That is another setting I might need to change.

Good morning. Hit the escape key and you'll be in a dialog where you
can find the sign in button. Chances are you'll be on it already.
You can keep the machine from going to sleep by going into power
options. It's one of the choices in the windows-x menu. Once in power
options you can also change things like the action of the power
button. I like to make sure the press of the power button performs a
shutdown. This is good when speech goes nuts. Good luck.

Good morning,
This morning, I was met with a locked screen indicator after a short
period of the computer sitting idle. I am running WE with new
Windows 10. Sometimes, WE would say locked default, sometimes
nothing and when the speech came back after a little wait, if I
pressed enter, it would say unlocking, but nothing happened and there
was still a locked screen. eventually, I was able to get access to
my desktop, but I have no idea how I did it. How can I make sure the
lock screen does not turn on? I am the only user for this computer.
Thanks.
Carol
