Hi Jannet I am running win 10 version 1709 and have been using the Chrome browser for about two years. I switched to Chrome because I was having so many problems with IE and MS has now sealed the fate of it. I generally have no problems with Chrome but on some occasions, We has stopped talking. When that happens, I use windows key d to focus on the desktop and then alt tab to go back to the window that Chrome has displayed. that brings back speech.
