I'm glad you worked it out. I realized I hadn't been getting updates in
Windows 7 for several months. I fixed my issue by using the update
troubleshooter. It took a long time, but I finally got things up to date. I
am getting the new updates asI expect.

Subject: update problem
Hi Anthony,
I don't use Outlook. But I just looked at the keyboard shortcuts page for
Outlook because I thought perhaps Control+Shift+B was in the Window-Eyes
scripts.
https://support.office.com/en-us/article/keyboard-shortcuts-for-outlook-3cde
b221-7ae5-4c1d-8c1d-9e63216c1efd
But Control+Shift+B is the native Outlook shortcut for the address book.
I then loaded NVDA because I still use Window-Eyes. I pressed NVDA+1 for key
describer mode. And Control+Shift+B is not a NVDA key combination.
So you should be able to just press it without pressing the bypass
combination first.
Hth,
Tom

Hi tom
With window-eyes in outlook I used to use the insert key + b, and then
ctrl
+ shift + b, to go to the address book.
But now unfortunately I don't know what I should use instead.
I hope you will understand what I mean.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Regards
Anthony

Hi Anthony,
Yes. NVDA+F2 can be used anywhere because it's an NVDA key, just like
the Window-Eyes bypass key.

Tom

In NVDA it's NVDA key plus F2.

Hi folks
I'm using windows 10, and NVDA as a screen reader.
Since I switched to NVDA when I tried to use the capslock key as an
insert key + b, for bypass. I noticed that it isn't working any more.
So can someone explain to me if the bypass procedure applys for NVDA
as well?
If not, is there another way how to do it with NVDA please?
Thanks in advance
Anthony
