Hi Bob, In the Window-Eyes control panel, open the Apps menu with Alt-A, and arrow down to Progress Indicator. Open this and choose Options. This displays a dialog where you can choose your preferences. Also, the hot key for reading the current level of the displayed progress bar is Ctrl-Insert-B.
