I know what you are speaking of, but don’t have any good answers. You could ask Vispero tech support about this if you haven’t done so already. They probably think everybody wants the maximum speed. You can get the effect of some pauses by turning on punctuation. Another possibility is to try using one of the Vocalizer synthesizers that Vispero offers for free. They aren’t Eloquence, and some of the mispronunciations are weird, but they are pretty natural-sounding. I like the Zoe voice for most things, although I used Eloquence for Windows Live Mail while that program worked. Lloyd Rasmussen

What I wish to note is that I brought this issue up on the JFW List a few months ago, and received no satisfactory suggestions on the issue, and the attitude I was faced with was more or less learn to live with it, or even those who denied the problem altogether. That is why I chose to bring it here, just hoping that a fellow Window-Eyes user might be in a position to offer some advice. Just thought you might appreciate knowing my reasons for choosing to post my inquiry here. Sincerely, Larry _______________________________________________ Any views or opinions presented in this email are solely those of the author and do not necessarily represent those of Ai Squared.
