Hi list, I'd like to forward a big "thank's" from the French Ministry of Culture staff who organized the "night of the museums" [1] to the guys who are running OpenAerialMap. Indeed, they were able to successfully integrate OAM raster data into their website, via OpenLayers.
Here are their words : "Nous remercions OpenAerialMaps pour les fonds carto orthophotographiques libres que nous avons pu intégrer cette année et qui ont permis de donner au site un « nouveau visage » et un atout en matière d'interactivité." Roughly translated, that means OAM enabled them to give a new look to their website. They're also using free software, such as TileCache, PostgreSQL + PostGIS, MapServer, GDAL ... and I guess they also would like to thank all the developers and contributors who made this possible ;-) Cheers, F.
