On that line, the Castilla y León region (Spain) has put all their orthophotos in a FTP server: http://www.itacyl.es/opencms_wf/opencms/informacion_al_ciudadano/wms/ ftp://ftp.itacyl.es/cartografia/Ortofotos/ There is also a DEM (5m grid) at ftp://ftp.itacyl.es/cartografia/MDE , WMS at http://orto.wms.itacyl.es/WMS? , and lots of documentation hanging around. I know I should clear the licensing terms with these guys, but the dataset should be good for testing purposes, at least.
