Friends, since we're in the process of electing a PSC, I would like to propose a set of PSC operating procedures:
http://wiki.openaerialmap.org/Consensus_Procedure This proposal is based on the procedures used by the PSCs of most OSGeo and Apache Software Foundation projects. I invite the list to discuss the merits of the proposal and make amendments as you all see fit. Once we come to consensus on it, I would like us to ask the initial PSC to adopt the procedures in their final form. In my view, the PSC should have as minimal a role as possible, and should strive to represent the views of the community, as expressed on the mailing list. The intention is not to take on an onerous procedural burden, but for us, as a community, to have an existing, clear, and agreed-upon set of guidelines when collective decisions need to be taken.
