I will add it's easy to get the USGS data, you just need to send them the HD (within their specs) and they will dump data on it and send it back. I can send someone the email I got from them regarding this (prefer not to put it on the list at the moment). I will add that the DOQQs were 16.5 TB or something like that. They didnt have size estimates on the other imagery, as you needed to request the area, and they would tell you how much data it would be. I don't think it would be wise for everyone for everyone to ask for the data. It seems that just splitting up the work would be the best idea.
