Hi,
Yes, it's generally thought to be correct, the interpretation being
that the park ends at the boundary of the river. However, this is
occasionally disputed, since some interpret ways as representing the
whole feature, and others interpret them as the centreline of the
feature.

The validator plugin just announces it as a warning to ensure you are
aware of it, in case it is a genuine error. In some cases it is
impossible to determine if nodes are being shared, other than by
middle clicking.
