I've edited the SOC page a bit: http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/index.php/Google_Summer_of_Code
A starting point is to establish which projects are proposed and who will volunteer to mentor them. It would be great now to get some of the routing guys, some of the server guys, some of the JOSM guys, some of the Potlatch guys etc etc, to take a look through the wiki page and to put themselves forward as mentors for the projects.
