some of us on the new zealand mailing list are working on a proposal to import data from www.zenbu.co.nz, a business listing site in new zealand
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/index.php/Zenbu is the page that's been put together for coordinating the work on this data as this sort of thing has been done before - AND, TIGER - it would be a good idea to learn from the experiences. are there any pitfalls, anything to be aware of, suggestions to make it easier? i've had a look at the relevant pages on the wiki for the above imports and got a few ideas, but is there anything else not there? one of the biggest potential problems i see, is that zenbu do not have a stable set of tags - users are pretty much free to come up with whatever they want - so i predict a lot of manual work tying their tags to ours thanks _______________________________________________ talk mailing list talk@openstreetmap.org http://lists.openstreetmap.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/talk
