As David says, it's £25 compared to €50. Like last year we are planning a
first class conference at an exceptionally good price.

Last year's conference was financially a success and the budget for this
year is engineered to ensure that it will also be successful. Fixed costs
are very low and variable costs are largely covered by the registration fee
and corporate sponsorship.

The budget for SotM is comparable to last year, however there are lots of
variables involved:
1) We have to pay for the conference venue this year / last year it was
free, thanks to Manchester University.
2) The Pound has weakened against the Euro. Although conference pricing is
in Euros, our UK based sponsors work to a Sterling budget.
3) The credit crunch means corporate sponsors are more cautious this year.
We still have sponsorship opportunities if anyone is interested.
4) We had a very good deal on catering last year / we have to pay normal
market rates this year.
5) Limerick doesn't have a Curry Mile - we are still working on that one :)
