I had a little look at the 'orp' source, but I'm not that hot on perl
either. I'll have to download and give it a 'spin' to see what/how it
does.

Given the comments how others have achieve the highlighting for their own
projects, does it seem that this is possible to and to osmarender or orp.

I would imagine that hilighting all of the Relation/Routes in a datafile
is the simplest to start with, with appropriate colour/characteristics
defined in the 'xml' file.

Does just rendering an extra layer above 'layer=9' make sense? The SVG
path (representing the way) could be made translucent to avoid masking
stuff below.

The ability to selectively highlight Relation/Routes, or set different
characteristics would be nice too :-).

So going back to the question about labels. Is there anyway to add a label
(or not) to a node within a relation?

For example a reference point (such as the number '3'), or specific text
which does not apply to the underlying node/way data (such as 'turn left
at fork').

Is anyone going to complain if I add 'stopxx_label=' or 'stopxx_comment='
into the relation table?

Cheers,
Mungewell.
