it should be okay for something's name to not match its classification?

e.g. 'Rutland county council' not being a county council

or 'Croydon canal' being something other than a canal

I'm still interested in this definition of aquaeduct though, since the
wikipedia definition of man-made water-carrying thingie differs from
OSM's definition of waterway on a bridge
