I agree with you there, I have myself interpolated a border 12nm off the
coast of Brazil, and tagged it just as the national border. I would like
to see more people take a look at
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Maritime_borders and help make up a
proper set of tags for maritime borders. I would like to see the various
forms of maritime borders to be tagged such as territorial waters, fishing
limits, economic zones and more.
