Steve: There's an enormous difference between disagreeing with the points you make, and objecting to how you make them. When I was little, I was generally rude and abrasive. I remember saying tearfully to one of my teachers "why can't people just listen to what I say and ignore how I'm saying it?". But the world doesn't work like that.
