WAAS isn't the only option to augment GPS results, the android handset I have reports down to 3m accuracy with no network signal or only 2G signal. However when it switches onto 3G it becomes more accurate, down to 2m accuracy, even under dense trees and indoors etc. > What's the typical degree of accuracy you get with your GPS unit?
