Then many, many people will be burned. It's happening daily in OSM
when contributors remove buildings or roads traced from obsolete
aerial imagery or imported data for instance and are no longer
existing or replaced by something else "on the ground".

I'm not talking about removing incorrect objects, but removing objects that use tags that are specifically for former features (e.g. railway=abandoned).
