I saw this mentioned on IRC but I haven't seen it here, so I figured I'd point out cquest's live edit viewer at: http://osm7.openstreetmap.fr/~cquest/live/
It zooms in and shows you various edits and where people are editing worldwide. It unfortunately doesn't show you geometry.
