Hi List, I spotted this on blogs.openstreetmap.org today and though it was worth a share on this mailing list. The diary post below covers one users reflection on a recent competition [1] run by Telenav / Scout in the US. Users were encourage to edit the map to earn points, with the highest scoring user receiving a prize. The exact algorithm for how edits were converted into points was keep secret.
