You can configure the profiles differently so you can have any of them with
a load ring tone and max volume! You do not have ot use the outdoor one just
for that. Myself, I have one called Headset and the I set the phone up so
when I plug in the headset! The phone then switches to the Headset profile
and also Talks will change it volume settings for the headset as well. Then
when I unplug the headset, the phone will then automatically switch back to
my normal dot profile and Talks will also swithc back to the volume settings
for when a headset isn't in use.
The Talks volume settings for these function I'm talking about is in the
Talks settings, Then Options, Then Audio. From here, you can set volume
settings for normal handset use and for when a headset is in use. For each
of these two options, you can then set volume settings for normal use and
for when a call is in progress. Also in these two settings, you can set the
speach delay different for when a headset is in use or not.

On any phone you can use profiles. I use Outdoor as this gives me a loud
ring tone. If I an at a meeting I use Silent. Then I do not need to turn
off the phone as there is no audable tome when someone calls. If I use
General I may choose a different ring tone to the Outdoor profile.
