Just go into a new text message, then bring up the Talks settings with Talks 
long soft key1 and then arrow to the right to the dictionary tab and add the 
things you want spoken. Just make sure you save them to the current program and 
not global/system. After all, they aren't needed in most places. That is all is 
needed.

I want to write this symbol ^ on my phone but do not know how to achieve it.  
It is part of the emoticon for Approve which has the following punctuation ^-)  
Is it possible to get Talks to announce correctly all the various emoticans?
