Did you look at the Memory usage on the phone either in the file manager or
in the Option when in the main menu? This will give you some idea of what is
using memory.
Try going into the Internet and deleting the cashe for it.
Delete old messages on the phone and or move them to the memory card.
Move sound files from the phone internal memory to the memory card.
Move any Photos, videos to the memory card or delete them off phone memory.
Look in the Install folder on drive C: using the file manager and move
things to the memory card or delete them.
Uninstall programs in phone memory like the TTS, Talks, RemindMe, YBrowser,
and other 3rd party software and then install them to the memory card. If
you are using the RealSpeak or VCM voices! These can take a lot of memory.
The above should free up a lot of memory.
You can not remove the old Maps on the phone! It is built in. However you
can install the new version over the top of the old one.

Subject: [Talks] Problems with nokia maps and n81 8gb
Hi friends,
Unfortunatelly nokia's support gave me no help to solve the following
problem:
I've downloaded nokia ovi maps 3 at blindsea.com
The software has more than 5 mega bytes and my n81 telephone memory has
only 1.5 mega bytes free in a total of 25 mega bytes available. Logic says
I should uninstall some programs but the aplications manager in the phone
doesn't show where are the 23 megabytes installed. For example, it's
impossible to find where the old version of nokia maps is installed so
that I could unistall it and gain some memory.
It's impossible for me to use ovi suite and with pc suite I couldn't ask
the system to install ovi maps on the memory card, where I have 3 giga
bytes free.
Does anyone have an idea of what should I do?
Kind regards, Paulo
