Talks does not recognise the motocons.

hi friends, talks on C500 does not announce the expressions I.E
(modocons) instead of reading the expression. it just says "i". tried
to add entry in dictionary as ":)" as smiley face" but was of no use.
can anyone suggest me the ways to make them read?
