well before i got your response here i did take a look over the internet and
it would seem that the n95 doesn't have this option, but through third
parties it can be achieved.
the only problem with this is that the downloadable file for the program /
application is unsigned.
this is slightly confusing in that i am not sure what is meant by signed and
unsigned.
any help is greatly appreciated.

On most phones with a slide you can configure it to hang up a call when
slid closed. On the dash 1 model I don't know if this phone ahs that
option. The dash 3 doesn't have it. Myself, I disable this action being I
like to talk on the phone with it slid closed to start with. Less likely
to get broke if you drop it by error.

would anyone know how to have the nokia n95 end a call when the cover is
slid shut?
in all other slide phones i have had as soon as i slide the cover shut
the call would end, but with this phone i have to press the end call
button first before i close the phone.
