Oh. see I handle it a little different than you because I've changed the talks key to the menu key next to the left arrow key so I don't hit the symbols key twice. I hit it once then go directly to the touch screen and tap the icon to get to the second. I forget that some of you still have the talks key as the symbols key. That's the first thing I do when I get a phone is change the talks key I never could get used to it being down on that bottom row so I move it up top. Thanks though for giving an explanation that probably makes more sense to folks, especially if they have the talks key still as the symbols key.

Thanks Denise, now may I add something to what you say please, the symbols key is indeed to the left of the space-bar but remember it is the Talks key too, so in my case at least, I have to hit it twice. Now when I do so, I get symbols but when I hit it again I get emoticons. Now it would be fair to say, in agreement with yourself, it is best once one has got to the symbols screen after double kitting the Talks key, then go to the icons to the right and left of the middle of screen on the touch screen, rther than hitting the Talks key again.

Many thanks Denise for solving this puzzle for me. I was in a phone shop today but would you believe, I forgot to ask about this.

Subject: [Talks] currency symbols on the e6

Hi folks
A few days ago eleanor asked if anyone knew how to find the currency symbols. I didn't know then, but was able to find them today so I thought I let everyone know how to get to them just in case you find yourself in need of them. On the e6, press the syimbols key which is the one directly to the left of the space bar. Then go to the touch screen. On my phone there is an unlabled icon, which says icon on either side of the middlebutton, directly above the up arrow. Either one of these icons when tapped toggles to a second page of symbols which includes the currency symbols as well of a lot of other rarely used things like the power sign, etc. If you tap it again it toggles back to the regular punctuation symbols. Eleanor said the left icon works better for her, but if you play around with those icons you can get to the other symbol page.
