Argentine Tango New Orleans is proud to present in conjunction with our second
birthday, straight from Buenos Aires, MAURICIO CASTRO! Mauricio will be joining
us for our birthday party at Le Chat Noir, 715 St. Charles Avenue on 20 March,
and will be leading a series of workshops 23-25 March 2001.

Instead of the usual classes of long combinations, technique, and
embellishment, Mauricio's classes each have a single, useful focus to improve
your dancing. Mauricio will also be available to discuss his aclaimed book,
Tango: The Key to Its Structure, It's Mysteries Revealed.

Mauricio is a dancer, writer, and teacher from Buenos Aires, famous for his
unique approach. "It often it takes the majority of tango students more time
than necessary to discover how the tango works," he says. His workshops
promise to give you the shot in the arm you need to feel inspired and excited
about your tango dancing, and put an end to that feeling overwhelmed by tango's
techniques and theory.

Mauricio Castro has studied with internationally renowned masters Gustavo
Naviera, Fabias Salas and Mariano Frumboli. A Humanities Graduate, he has
studied Neuro Linguistic Programming, Human Design Engineering and Human
Ecology. He also holds a Bachelors of Music from Berklee College of Music,
Boston, in the USA, and has studied contemporary dance and movement techniques
including Laban Analysis, Bartenieff Fundamentals, and The Skinner Releasing
Technique. Mauricio Castro has synthesized his wide-ranging, multi-disciplinary
studies and experience to evolve the most modern and comprehensive teaching
method in existence today.

We are happy to assist out of town visitors finding places to stay here in New
