Argentine Tango workshop with Daniel Lapadula
August 4th to 6th

I am very pleased to announce the return of special guest instructor Daniel
Lapadula for the anniversary of the first workshop at Salon Pavadita which
he also taught.

A uniquely talented teacher and dancer, Daniel s passion for the dance and
for helping others to become better dancers has made him a favorite of many
communities. In addition to being a successful performer and teacher, he has
a keen appreciation of the tango as a social dance.

Schedule:
Saturday, August 4th
12:30   2:00  Technique I:  Tango essentials for beginners   balance,
posture, movement, and the embrace
2:30   4:00   Technique II:  Continuation of tango essentials   including
turns and ochos
4:30   6:00   Technique III:  More tango essentials   handle changes of
direction with ease (very important!), dancing on a crowded floor

Sunday, August 5th
12:30   2:00  Technique IV:  Tango elements   how to build your own tango,
tips to improve your responsiveness both as follower and as leader creating
the dance in accordance to the music
2:30   4:00   Vals:  Dancing to tango vals can often be the most moving
learn how to differentiate this music and make it more enjoyable
4:30   6:00   Milonga:  If vals is romantic and moving, then milonga is
lively and fun   see on what makes it unique and how to dance it better

***First Sunday of the Month Milonga from 8-11pm***

Monday, August 6th
8:00   9:00  Embellishments for Followers (leaders are invited free of
charge)
9:00   10:00 Embellishments for Leaders (followers are invited free of
charge)

Cost:  $25 for one class, $45 for two classes, $20 each for three or more
classes.
All classes will be held at Salon Pavadita, 2714 = Greenville Avenue,
Dallas, Texas

***THE  FIRST SUNDAY OF THE MONTH  MILONGA IS SUNDAY, AUGUST 5TH from 8 to
11pm with DJ Jeramy Bede, cost is $7 or $5 for workshop participants***

Originally from Argentina, Daniel Lapadula trained in jazz and ballet in
Buenos Aires and began dancing tango professionally in 1977.  Daniel is now
a professional tango performer, teacher, organizer and choreographer
residing in Miami.  He has performed across the United States and the
Caribbean to critical acclaim, as well as in the movie  Random Hearts
starring Harrison Ford.  He has choreographed and directed of numerous tango
shows.
Daniel was the first to record videos for the instruction of club style
tango and has recently been filming his visits to U.S. cities for broadcast
on Solo Tango TV (the tango-only channel in Buenos Aires).
