To all San Francisco Bay area teachers, organizers, tangueros, tangueras, milonga organizers, and interested others -
At last night's board meeting it was unanimously decided that all teachers, milongas and organizers would have their events listed at BATango's new website and on their events calendar regardless of whether or not they are members of BATango. BATango members will have their names listed in bold and if they offer a discount to BATango members will also carry an asterisk beside their name. However all persons submitting their information regarding Argentine tango events will be listed. Therefore we are asking that everyone who would like to have an event, practica, milonga, party, guest teacher, etc, etc please submit their information to Deborah Holm or Deby Novitz so that it can be incorporated into our new format. The new format when it is finished will be visually stunning as well as useful. We are planning to have not only a regular listing by geographical region as it is now, but also a day by day calendar, so that if someone wants to dance on a particular day, they will know where to go. We are also planning to have a wider distribution of the hard copies of the events listing so that newbies to the city will have easier access to the copies. We are planning to have a lot of new activities including a free outdoor milonga during the Solano Stroll in September. But we need help to carry them out. If we are going to expand our activities we need participation from all of you. Please contact Deby Novitz or me if you want to be a part of this. Everyone is welcome. This is a new era...
