Hi everybody, As you know, we were out of town, so better late than never, we want to thank all of you that contributed with your time, help and presence, to make the Special Milonga on July 13th a resounding success.
Roberto generously opened the doors of his milonga to us and Yvonne Meissner and Eduardo Aguirre did a great demonstration of close embrace tango and vals. Robin Thomas made a stop-over in Miami to DJ and Leonor, Dora and Wendy helped us at the door. Norma, Randy and Lydia and Lily, brought their videos, posters and T-shirts, to create an instant "tango boutique" and Julio Augurto lent us his beautiful tango paintings to decorate the room... And of course, all of you, the dancers, both professional and social, from as far as Tampa and West Palm Beach, gave with your passion for tango a wonderful energy to the evening. And you have been asking when is the next one, so here is a date for your calendar: September 21, 2001. We will be welcoming Ramiro Gigliotti, who will be in Florida from September 19 to 30, and will be teaching a workshop on Technique and Leading on the 22 and 23. A separate announcement with more details on the workshop will be made. Some of you who missed his Musicality Seminar for Tango Dancers last year have expressed interest on taking it. If we have enough people we can organize that also, so please let us know. We will keep you up to speed on what will be the "special" events during this "special milonga", so stay tuned. Madela and Dolores
