FRIDAY AUGUST 31:  8:00 -- 9:00  (at The Temple Ballroom, 6401 SE Foster)
 Introductory Lesson  (Beginners).   Lesson (and chocolate) included in the
$8 price of admission to the Practica/Milonga.

SATURDAY SEPT 1:  (at Clay's Dance Studio, 6959 SW Multnomah Blvd)
#1  11:00 - 12:30  Basic Elements (et chocolat) (All Levels). This workshop
addresses the basic elements that help us to improvise and understand the
lead.

# 2A 1:00 - 2:00  Dancing with your Torso  (Beyond Beginners -- Advanced).
Discover how to use the torso to lead, to wait and to follow.  Learn to dance
with harmony (y chocolate).   Understand that each movement is the result of
a previous movement.

# 2B   2:15 -- 3:15  Variations using the Torso and Change of Dynamics
(2A [and italian chocolate kisses] required).  How to use the torso in
complex combinations and lead the change of dynamic.

Saturday 8:00 --12:00?PM  Alex Krebs hosts Milonga Berretin.  (918 SW
Yamhill, 4th Floor)  (chocolate optional)

SUNDAY SEPT 2:  (at Clays' Dance Studio, 6959 SW Multnomah Ave)
# 3  11:00 -- 12:30  Music  (All Levels) Connecting with the music.  Learn
about different orchestras, epochs and the tango styles they created.  (let
M&M's melt in your mouth.) Understanding the music's role in helping us
improvise and generate our movements.

# 4  12:45 -- 2:15  Improvisation  (randomize with light & dark chocolate.)
(Beyond Beginners -- Advanced)   Tango is a social dance, a dance of
improvisation.  When we know how to lead variations, and connect with the
music, it becomes easy to improvise.

****  2:15 -- early evening? All students from any day's workshops are
invited to join Fernanda & Guillermo for a Potluck Picnic Excursion  (by
caravan?) to the beach (or Mt. Hood or Gorge). (Megan's Killer Brownies
included.)

MONDAY SEPT 3: (at "Rachel's" Studio, corner of SE 9th & Ankeny)
# 5  7:00 -- 9:00  Ganchos  (High Intermed -- Advanced)   Techniques for the
balance, timing, and body positions necessary for elegant, musical and
comfortable ganchos. (Powered by chocolate with a kick: mint? cinnamon?
special chili powder?)  Using these techniques,  we will create variations
and improvisations for ganchos.

TUESDAY SEPT 4: (at Clay's Dance Studio)
# 6  7:00 -- 9:00   Sacadas  (Almond Roca trumps Baker's chocolate.)  (High
Intermed -- Advanced) Timing, body position and variations for sacadas
(displacements) done by leaders and followers.

WEDNESDAY SEPT 5:  (at Clay's Dance Studio)
# 7  7:00 --9:00   Boleos   (High Intermed -- Advanced)  Boleos are about
expressing something that is between the bodies. (Are they as good as
chocolate truffles? BYOT.) We will work on the technique of the boleos and on
fitting them with the music.
