Tango Downtown and Outpost Productions, Inc. present A Weekend of Argentine Tango at The Outpost Performance Space: Argentine Tango Classes in Close Embrace with Cacho Dante & Live Music by Tango No. 9 Friday, Nov 2 Introductory Class in Close Embrace 7:00-8:00pm Cacho Dante will demonstrate his style and technique in an introductory class for all levels. Milonga/Dance Party 8:00pm Come dance to the traditional Big Band sounds of Argentina¹s Golden Age, featuring live music by San Francisco quartet Tango No. 9. This party is being held in honor of Cacho. Saturday, Nov 3 Master Class 11:00 am-4:00pm* Learn to dance as they dance in the clubs of Buenos Aires. Taught by master milonguero Cacho Dante, one of Argentina¹s most elegant and refined dancers and a fabulous teacher. *There will be a one-hour break from 1:00-2:00 pm. Concert 8:00pm Tango meets jazz in the nightclubs of Paris! San Francisco¹s vibrant, voluptuous and wryly sophisticated quartet, Tango No. 9, celebrates Argentine composer Astor Piazzolla in this concert of Tango Nuevo.
